Linux Desktop Market Share Passed 2 Percent But.. Is it True?

On June 16 according to Net Market Share, the Linux desktop took 2 percent of the global market share (2.02% to be exact)

Although the statistics are probably skewed and don’t represent the true market share value, Linux is still a great operating system 🙂

The reason being why you shouldn’t trust these statistics is because many users (even myself) use agent spoofing. This tells the sites you visit that you are another operating system or browser. One good extension that just does that is: Random Agent Spoofer (Firefox Addon)

As you can see, you can’t really know for certain if these statistics are true. Many Linux users are privacy conscious when it comes to these things.
